The World cruise ship is powered by Wartsila marine diesel engines (both main and auxiliary), respectively, two 12-cylinder and three 8-cylinder. Wartsila Hamworthy Membrane BioReactor (MBR) is a sewage treatment technology facilitating the grey’ and ‘black wastewater management. The technology is based on biological degradation and membrane separation. There are also additional annual maintenance fees based on apartments' square footage.
